  • Winter And Spring All-Academic Honor Roll Announced

    ATLANTA – The SAA announced its Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll today for the 2017 spring term and a total of 1,033 student-athletes made the list. To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.

  • Panther Profile: Robert Dozier

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Robert Dozier (Jacksonville, Fla./ Episcopal School of Jacksonville) was a senior on the men’s lacrosse team at Birmingham-Southern College. He graduated with a degree in business and an art minor last month. Dozier credits his parents in his choice of what to study at BSC.
  • Panthers Named to SAA All-Sportsmanship Teams

    ATLANTA – The Southern Athletic Association announced the 2017 Spring Sports All-Sportsmanship Teams and 79 student-athletes among the league’s eight full-time members received recognition. Formed in 2011, the SAA places a special emphasis on good sportsmanship and fair play among all competitors.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern athletics department announced the winners of its big awards and recognized the accomplishments of the student-athletes at its 2017 Athletic Awards Dinner Monday night in the Norton Great Hall on BSC’s campus.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southern Athletic Association released its 2017 men’s lacrosse all-conference teams Tuesday and Birmingham-Southern College earned five spots. The pack was headlined by first team selections McHale Schneider (Roswell, Ga./Roswell HS) and Davis Thompson (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes HS).

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team could not overcome a slow first half start and fell 8-3 to top seeded Rhodes College in the Southern Athletic Association semifinals Friday night.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team will play in its fifth straight Southern Athletic Association tournament semifinal after downing Hendrix College 10-3 in the quarterfinals Saturday in Krulak Stadium.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team battled hard against Berry College Sunday afternoon, but eventually fell 11-9 in their regular season finale. The Panthers are now 7-8 overall and 4-3 against Southern Athletic Association opponents heading into the conference tournament.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Freshman Matt Quill (Fort Mill, S.C./Coker College) was named Southern Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week for his performance April 3 – 9.
  • Panthers Earn 6-4 Conference Win Over Hendrix

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team held on for the 6-4 win over Southern Athletic Association rival Hendrix College Saturday afternoon. The Panthers improved to 6-7 overall and 3-2 against SAA opponents with the win. They are now in fourth place in the league.
  • BSC Holds On for 10-9 Win at Centre

    DANVILLE, Ky. – The Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team battled back and forth with Centre College Sunday afternoon on the road before winning 10-9. BSC is now 5-7 overall, 2-2 against Southern Athletic Association opponents. The win stopped a two-game skid for the Panthers.
  • Comeback Falls Short for Panthers at Sewanee

    SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team outscored Sewanee 7-6 in the second half, but could not overcome a slow start and fell 12-7 on the road Friday night.
  • Big First Half Halts Panthers at Rhodes

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Rhodes College used a big first half to upend the Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team 17-9 Saturday afternoon on Crain Field. BSC moved to 4-6 overall and 1-1 in Southern Athletic Association play with the loss.

    ATLANTA - The SAA released the men's lacrosse Players of the Week for games played March 13 - 19 and McHale Schneider (Roswell, Ga./Roswell HS) of Birmingham-Southern claimed offensive player of the week.
  • Panthers Dominate Millsaps in 23-5 Win

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team outscored Millsaps College 18-3 in the first half of its home Southern Athletic Association matchup to pace its way a 23-5 victory. The Panthers (4-5, 1-0 SAA) outshot Millsaps 51-16 in the win.
  • BSC Completes Comeback, Defeats Huntingdon 13-9

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team came back to defeat Huntingdon College 13-9 Thursday night in Krulak Stadium. BSC (3-5) trailed early, but outscored the Hawks 9-4 in the second half to secure the win.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team defeated Southwestern (Tex.) 13-9 on a rainy night in Krulak Stadium. The Panthers (2-6) outshot the Southwestern 45-30.

    WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team mounted a comeback late Saturday afternoon against McDaniel College, but could not overcome a slow first half start and fell 9-7. BSC moves to 1-3 overall with the loss.

    SALEM, Va. – Despite tying Roanoke College in the second half, the Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team was unable to recover from the Maroons strong first half start and fell 20-8 on the road Thursday afternoon.
  • Men Open Season With 23-9 Win Over Piedmont

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men’s lacrosse team opened its 2017 season with a dominant 23-9 home win over Piedmont College Friday night in Krulak Stadium. Five Panthers finished with hat tricks, led by Tanner Schneider (Roswell, Ga./Roswell HS) who earned a game and career-high four goals on four shots.
